From behind-the-scenes / bonus content to updates on production and status, what is the obligation of the creator to share news about their work-in-progress, no matter how anticipated the release?
I agree - while someone is always going to be upset, consistent is the best course. And learning to accept that you wonβt please everyone, or at least not letting it bog you down. π
I think about this all the time too! But more from the lens of my personal experience and observances (outside the gaming industry). I think about the pressure on teachers to routinely post pictures of our kiddos to some shared portal -- something that did not exist for my parents when I was a kid but is an expectation now. Or, from a business lens, how I need to give consistent and regular updates (or have my project manager do so) to partners so they know where we're at or if we're stuck on anything. Communication is a tough riddle to solve!
Agree with you also. Hard to be on the waiting side, but we have to understand development is not easy and the creator can get lost in the process. Consistent updates are all that is needed.
